Start On the starters/referees instruction, swimmers should promptly access the water via the harbour slipway or ladder, and line form a line facing up river. Start will be by loud hailer or whistle.
Course This is a point-to-point, up river swim using the flow of the river, on a diagonal course across the river and it's tide-ways, which will take swimmers through one of the first five spans of the Road Bridge at the Fife side, then continues across the bay passing the old Ferry Station at Newport to the slipway at Woodhaven. The line is as straight as the currents and your ability permits. You MUST follow your boat at all times. This swim will be run under YeAABA Club Championship rules.
