LOCHEARNHEAD SWIM WEEKEND

YeAABA held 3 events over the weekend of 15 and 16 August up on Loch Earn in Perthshire.

Sat 15th saw 4 swimmers set off on the full loch event (6.5 Miles) from Lochearnhead to St Fillans. Unfortunately one swimmer had to pull out at the half way marker at Derry Point.

The other three swimmers went on to complete the event with the following times.

1. Lorna Wellingsclare 3 H 19 M 26 S
2. Ian Foy 3 H 30 M 45 S
3. Nick White 4 H 16 M 52 S

On the Sunday morning we had 2 swimmers in the Half Loch Event (3.25 Miles) from Derry Point to Lochearnhead.

Both swimmers completed the event on the following times:

1. Jasmine Lightfoot 2 H 19 M 34 S
2. Matthew Smallwood 2 H 44 M 19 S

On the Sunday afternoon , we had 5 swimmers enter the Crannog Isle Swim (1 Mile) from Lochearnhead across to Crannog Isle, around the Island and back to Lochearnhead.

All swimmers completed the event with the following times:

1. Lily White (J) 27 M 01 S
2. Laura Binger 33 M 13 S
3. Lee Brown 36 M 44 S
4. Jillian Livie 40 M 12 S
5. Janet Wilson 1 H 14 M 06 S

All swimmers received a certificate and also Trophies and Medals were awarded as well.

Well done to all the swimmers, and thanks to all the volunteers (boat crews and officials and others) who made these events happen.
