Double Tay Championship
Sat 12 July saw the Double Tay swim take place. After a very sunny morning, as we approached the start time for the event, the Haar started to roll up the tay. At times we could only see about 3/4 of the way over the river, as the Haar tended to roll out and in.
We had two very strong swimmers undertake this swim and they got underway at 4:40 pm. The results were as follows:
Mhairi Murdoch in 53 M 09 S (Previous Record was 54 M 00 S set in 1986)
Lynsey Coupland in 1 H 15 M 10 S
Well done both on a sucessful swim and to Mhairi for setting a new record for this swim.
