BALMERINO 2025
Sun 20 July saw 4 swimmers take part in the Kirkton of Balmerino Swim, a tidal assisted swim of 8 miles, back to Broughty Ferry.
The results of the swim were as follows:
Kris Copeland 2 H 09 M 46 S
Lynsey Coupland 2 H 26 M 11 S
Valerie Lindsay 3 H 06 M 24 S
Richie Oparka completed the distance but due to being caught by the outgioing tide, was swept past the harbour wall and landed onshore at Brought Ferry Beach. He was presented with a completion certificate but could not be awarded a time in the event.
As always, thanks to the boat crews and officials for making the event happen. Trophies were presented by Ian Reid.
