2026 Open Day

We held our 2026 Open Day on Sun 26th April down at the harbour.

We welcomed both current and new potential swimmers and volunteers to the event. Following a presentation on the club and and what it offers, everyone went out to the slip to watch our new Escort boat being formally blessed and launched. The boat is named after one of our long serving life members and is named the “Doug Milne”. The boat is being sponsored by Visit Broughty Ferry.

The blessing and formal launching was carried out by Rev Lorna Tunstall of Broughty Ferry Parish church, with Doug watching on.

The new boat then acted as out safety craft in the harbour whilst 6 of our members went for a swim, where the water temp was a balmy 12 Deg this afternoon.
